HONEYMOON COTTAGE
After the completion of the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in 1921, Mr. John Kasper was elected to construct walkways around the church. He removed all the leftover D'Hanis brick from the grounds and used it to construct this structure for his wife. It was used for various purposes over the years, including a laundry room or wash house, a sewing room, quilting room, and also during the making of homemade soap. This was her haven and also helped to keep the main house immaculately clean and clear of clutter.
On January 23, 1996, the Novaks began their restoration and enlargement of this structure to create a lovely cottage for their guests..
The living area is decorated and furnished in soft French country style, with a sitting area and High speed wireless Internet access, TV, VCR, and a wood burning stove.
There's also a small dining area and a small kitchen with microwave oven, refrigerator and sink.
The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed with a crocheted canopy, an antique armoire, and a large Jacuzzi tub for relaxation and enjoyment.
